MANSFIELD, Ohio — A Bucyrus man is facing multiple federal criminal charges after he was accused of collecting and sharing images and videos online showing the sexual abuse of children.

David Holdcraft, 28, is charged with distribution of visual depictions of real minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and possession of child pornography, according to the Cleveland Division of the FBI.

FBI agents obtained warrants to search Holdcraft’s residence in Bucyrus and his Ford F-150 pickup truck on Feb. 25. An SD card, computers, storage devices, USB drives, external hard drives, and cellular telephones were taken by agents.

A review of the SD card by FBI agents showed it contained pictures and videos showing the sexual abuse of children. The other devices currently are undergoing a forensic review by investigators.

In an interview with special agents, Holdcraft said he downloaded the images and videos from online sources, according to the FBI. Holdcraft reportedly said he looked at various online threads containing the images and videos and would download them on his cell phone and share them online.

The FBI did not release further details, saying the investigation is ongoing.
