SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — A two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Clark County killed four people and left two others in critical condition, according to reports.
The crash involving a Mercedes-Benz and a Mini Cooper occurred just after 11 p.m. on Middle Urbana Road near Ohio 334, the State Highway Patrol tells dayton247now.com. The Mercedes was traveling south on Middle Urbana Road when it hit the Mini Cooper, which was traveling west, WDTN Channel 2 reports.
WHIO Channel 7 reports the crash caused the Mercedes to catch fire. Three males in the Mercedes were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.
A passenger in the Mini Cooper, David Griffin, 50, of Enon, also died at the scene, WDTN reports. The 43-year-old female driver of the Mini and a juvenile passenger were taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
